I killed a bird!

My exams are over! Yay! This means: summer vacation! 2 1/2 months is a bit long, but I'll survive...

We went to Oslo for the weekend. The trip started out great. I killed a bird before we passed Arendal. The bird must have been of the stupider kind, it was obviously well aware of the car and did some tiny jumps as it was getting ready to take off. I suspect it ate too much, because the take-off went bad and it ended up on our car. I might have been going a bit too fast.

We arrived at my mothers place around 8:15 pm, had some food and went for a walk. I love Oslo!

Saturday was the Shopping And Eting Day. We shopped, and ate. Breakfast at Bagel & Juice, lunch at T.G.I. Friday's on Aker Brygge (sunny and wonderful) and dinner with friends at San Leando Tapasbar in Vika. After tapas we went to Hard Rock Cafe for drinks. Jostein was watching the bartender fixing his Mojito, probably hoping to learn some fancy drinky-tips. He noticed the enormous amount of mint leaves the bartender put in, and commented: "Wow, you use a lot of leaves!" The bartender smiled, and everyone was happy (Jostein probably also impressed). Then the time came for the rum. Dark rum of course. But then Jostein said: "Oh. Not so much rum..." and I think he was no longer impressed, but the whole bar got a good laugh! The Mojito was very good though. But they are wonderful even without rum. I had sparkling water. Lucky me.

Sunday we walked over Frogner to Vigelandsparken (Frognerparken), then back over Majorstua, Bogstadveien and back to my mothers place. We rested a bit and went for lunch at Burger King (no french fries), rested a bit and went for dinner at La Rosa Magra. We had great Spaghetti ai Frutti di Mare. Went home, rested a bit and went to see the Da Vinci Code at Colosseum. Great movie!

It was quite an expensive weekend...
