I think it’s time I wrote a blog about Norwegian words that are used too little. I’ll put in the English translation as well as they are quite funny too.
Lømmel – lout, scamp
Slask - scamper, wop
Slabbedask – good-for-nothing fellow, goop
Banditt – bandit, gangster, badman
Røver – robber, pirate
Slappfisk - slacker
Luske - slink, sneak
Lurvete - slummocky
Lurveleven - hubbub, hullabaloo, uproar
Lusekjører - crawler, middle-of-the-road driver
Luring - sneak, sly fox, hangdog, hedger, slyboots, ear bender, egg, gammon, quack
Lurifaks - luring, clever Dick, sly fox, knowing one
Lurendreier - clever Dick, sly fox, (slang:) a knowing one
When I get Clue working again I’ll add more words..
